About Contouring & Highlighting your face

Hello again!

It was promised a really really long time ago so I thought I would do it since I did a Foundation application as well.
Shaping your face is very easy, you just have to watch your face and figure out what you should contour and what highlight.

You contour the parts of the face that you want them to be less obvious, smaller, narrower,...Contour with a darker powder, 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone. It can be a matte bronzer, darker face powder or a shaping powder that is specially developed for this purpose. We usually contour under cheekbones, under your chin (eg. if you want to hide a double chin), on the sides of the forehead by the hair line and on the sides of the nose. But you should contour according the shape of your face and parts of it. If you have a small nose you obviously won't contour it. You just really have to look at yourself and examine you face.

You highlight he parts of your face where the light would naturally hit you. Usually that is the top part of the nose (bridge of the nose), above the upper lip, forehead, chin and above the cheek bones. There are many products specially for highlighting and these can be in a different form: cream, liquid, powder, stick,... But it's okay if you don't have a special product for that cuz you really don't need it. What you can use and will work just as great is an eyeshadow in a light colour. It's nice if it's a bit shimmery so it reflects light better but not glittery. If you have a cooler skin tone than use light pinks and if you're more on a yellow side use beige, cream, gold shades.

Once you finished with this part just apply pretty blush that's not too overpowering and you are good to go and everybody is going to be jealous of your perfect face :D

I hope I helped you!
